Method – Participation ladder
Description
Approach to stakeholder management and communication that distinguishes four levels: inform stakeholders, involve stakeholders, co-create and co-decide. These levels imply that every form of stakeholder engagement builds on the foundation of shared information (level 1). The next level implies a shared definition phase. Level 3 implies the combined definition of possible solutions to the problems as defined at level 2. Level 4 is shared decision making.
