Goal conditions
Goal
Adaptation goals are defined as functional targets on a high level. A city or asset manager can, however, set certain conditions within which to achieve these targets and as such provide constraints for adaptation solutions. In ensuring a reliable water supply, for example, a city might not want to lose too much ground surface for water storage.
Preconditions
The adaptation goals as defined in Goal setting function as a starting point for discussing conditions and requirements to these goals. Other relevant input for this step are the outcomes of Related trends, and Context.
Outcomes
The outcome of this step is a list of requirements for each goal as defined in Goal setting.
Guidelines
- Provide the list of adaptation goals, of non-climate related trends and contexts and constraints;
- Discuss, in a smaller circle, for each goal separately the requirements taking into account trends and constraints.
- Deliver a list of requirements for each goal
